For the second year running, Vikrant has been selected as the Tutor at the Architectural Association, London, in Bedford Square for the July Summer School 2016 , as part of the AA Visiting School Program led by Natasha Sandmeier. Together with London based furniture and industrial designer Onur Ozkaya , they will be teaching Design Unit 6 titled ‘Memory Devices’. Based on a brief given for this year that focuses on ‘Time’, the unit investigates the relationship between memory and space. Taking London as the catalyst for reconstructing either personal or collective memories, the unit will create 1:1 scale devices that will challenge the essence of time and its transcendental nature within our minds as well as the surrounding built environment. Exploring the ephemeral relationship between memory , the unit will attempt to unite narratives, places and objects to create superfluous devices that have multiple meanings idiosyncratically linking the collective and the individual. For more information on the unit visit the AA School link – https://www.aaschool.ac.uk/ The Unit Work was also featured as an article on Design Boom. For more information, see the link
