Introduction
Located in the beautiful heritage Grade A building of the Esplanade House, in Fort Mumbai, this corporate headquarters of Mistry Ventures and Investments, is inspired from the ornamental and crafted elements that are found within the building.
As this was a retrofit in a heritage building we wanted the new interiors to be a minimal and elegant addition that would elevate the original spatial character and architectural beauty.
We focused a lot of on crafted details and warm woodwork joinery that would complement the existing building while contrasting it with tectonic glass partitions and modern high spec lighting and furniture elements.
Concept
The central concept of our proposal was to create a minimal and elegant addition that would elevate the original spatial character and architectural beauty.
Inspired from History
Bridging New and Old
To do so we divided the spaces through arched transparent glass partitions recreating the older arch promenades and openings.

Space Design
The space is restored to original design intent through refurbishing of existing wooden floors and its ceiling patterns as well as its teak framed wooden doors and windows as well as its mosaic tiled ornate balconies.
