Max House

Introduction

Designed as a bachelor getaway home for ‘Max’, an artistic and well-traveled client within a rural setting in Goa, the proposal for this compact house is more like an art gallery with large flexible spaces that open to the outdoors with a mood that is both modern and inventive.

max house facade

Situated on a small rectangular plot, the house maximizes its boundary conditions and internal spaces to create a large triple height entrance that lends a gallery like open feel to the entire house.

Facade Design

Designed on a compact site with little views, the Max House is divided and sheared to create an inward looking large triple height living with open plan spaces.

Massing Evolution

The facade design creates a screened mesh wall, with planting all around to maximise the connection to outdoors and privacy for the owners.

With a simple wire mesh frame , the low budget facade provides a cooling effect, a strong connection to green, a privacy screen as well as enriches interior spaces with that beautiful Goan filtered light.
